What to Expect on the Day of Your Drive Test?

  • 1. Test Prep Before The Drive Test

    The instructor will pick you up 1 ½ hours prior to your scheduled drive test so that you can warm up and review for the exam.

  • 2. DMV Check-In For Drive Test

    You might be a little nervous when it comes time for the test. Most people are. Don’t worry, your instructor will be with you during the whole process.

  • 3. Use School’s Car For Drive Test

    Our vehicles are currently registered and insured, which is required of the testing vehicle, and they meet all the safety requirements necessary for a vehicle to qualify for use in a drive test.

Requirements:

  • Age 18 Under: Have already completed the required 6-hour behind-the-wheel training and had a valid CA provisional instruction permit for a minimum of 6 months and are at least 16 years old.

  • Age 18 & Over: Have a valid CA instruction permit

*Prices are calculated based on the pick-up/drop-off location, with our office in Downtown LA as the reference point. Situation #1: If you are picked up in Downtown LA and take the driving test at Culver City DMV, the total charge remains $210. Situation #2: If you are picked up in Santa Monica and take the driving test at Culver City DMV, the total charge will be $240.

PAYMENTS:

  • All payments are due at the end of each session.

  • Cash, Venmo, Zelle, and credit card/debit cards (a 3% service fee applies for card transactions).

CANCELLATIONS:

  • This is a private 1-on-1 lesson. We respectfully request at least 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments to avoid getting charged the no-show fee of $25. Any change or cancellation request must be made directly to our office or your assigned instructor.

NOTICE:

  • Wear comfy, non-slip shoes.

  • Our school vehicles are fully registered & insured and meet safety requirements.

  • Students are not allowed to use personal vehicles. Instructors will provide the school's registered car.

  • Due to the auto insurance policy, no other passenger is allowed during the instruction and drive test.

  • An additional charge will apply if you pass 3 hours or more due to unexpected delays on the driving test.

BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT:

  • Please be aware that we allocate 3-4 hours for this package, so scheduling should be done at least 2 weeks in advance.

  • Age 18 under: If you fail the driving test, you must wait 2 weeks before taking it again.
