Student Terms & Conditions

By submitting a registration form or using any driving lesson or DMV test service provided through Oxford Driving School, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

Oxford Driving School provides professional driving lessons and DMV test services for students of all skill levels.

Our goal is to provide safe, professional, and personalized driving instruction while helping students build the knowledge and confidence necessary to become safe and responsible drivers.

2. Scheduling & Cancellation

All appointments are subject to instructor availability.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be made directly through Oxford Driving School at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.

Late cancellations, no-shows, or missed appointments may be subject to applicable cancellation fees.

3. Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for:

• Presenting a valid California instruction permit, California driver's license, or another legally acceptable driving credential before the lesson or DMV test service.

• Wearing appropriate clothing and closed-toe, non-slip shoes.

• Following all instructions provided by the assigned instructor.

• Being physically and mentally fit to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Oxford Driving School and the assigned instructor reserve the right to refuse, terminate, or reschedule any lesson if these requirements are not met.

4. Training Vehicles

Vehicles used for driving instruction and DMV test services comply with applicable California DMV requirements and are properly registered and insured.

Unless otherwise approved in advance by Oxford Driving School, students may not use personal vehicles during driving lessons or DMV test services.

5. Safety

Student safety is our highest priority.

The assigned instructor may modify, postpone, terminate, or reschedule any lesson or DMV test service whenever weather, road conditions, vehicle conditions, student behavior, or any other safety concern makes continued instruction unsafe or inappropriate.

Students are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by the assigned instructor.

6. DMV Test Services

DMV test services are subject to California DMV procedures and scheduling.

Oxford Driving School cannot guarantee DMV appointment availability, testing conditions, waiting times, examiner decisions, or successful completion of the DMV driving test.

Additional charges may apply if DMV test services exceed the standard service time because of DMV delays or circumstances beyond the assigned instructor's control.

7. Instructor Assignment & Vehicle Responsibilities

Oxford Driving School coordinates scheduling, customer support, and administrative services for driving lessons and DMV test services.

Driving lessons and DMV test services may be provided either by an Oxford Driving School instructor or by a qualified independent contractor instructor assigned by Oxford Driving School, depending on instructor availability and operational needs.

All services are conducted by the assigned instructor using the instructor's training vehicle.

The assigned instructor is responsible for the registration, insurance, maintenance, and safe operation of the vehicle used during instruction or DMV test services.

Oxford Driving School reserves the right to assign or substitute another qualified instructor when necessary due to scheduling, instructor availability, illness, emergencies, vehicle issues, or other operational circumstances.

8. Accidents & Incident Procedures

Driving involves inherent risks.

If an accident or other incident occurs during a driving lesson or DMV test service, the assigned instructor will take appropriate action based on the circumstances, including protecting the safety of all parties, contacting emergency services when necessary, documenting the incident, and notifying the appropriate parties.

Students agree to cooperate with any reasonable investigation relating to the incident, including insurance investigations when applicable.

9. Professional Conduct

Oxford Driving School is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment.

Students and instructors are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout all lessons and DMV test services. Personal, political, religious, sexual, or other unrelated discussions should be avoided during instruction.

Any concerns regarding instructor or student conduct should be reported to Oxford Driving School as soon as reasonably possible.

10. Limitation of Responsibility

Driving instruction and DMV test services involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.

Oxford Driving School is committed to providing professional instruction and promoting safe driving practices. However, Oxford Driving School does not guarantee that accidents, injuries, property damage, traffic violations, or DMV test results can be prevented or avoided.

Nothing contained in these Terms & Conditions shall be interpreted as limiting or excluding any responsibility or liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable California law.

11. Changes to These Terms

Oxford Driving School reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The most current version will be available on the Oxford Driving School website.
